All ELASN wood chipper machines follow a standardized 4-step closed-loop working logic to ensure stable, high-quality uniform wood chip output: Raw Material Feeding → High-Speed Rotary Cutting → Qualified Chip Screening → Finished Chip Discharging.

As the indispensable core primary processing equipment in the entire wood processing production line, the cutting quality, size uniformity and incision smoothness of the wood chips directly determine the processing effect of subsequent crushing, drying and glue mixing processes, and ultimately affect the bonding strength, load-bearing performance and service life of the final molded wood products.

Working Principle of Wood Disc Chipper

This disc-type wood chipper is mainly composed of an engine base, feed port, chipper disc, replaceable cutters, cabinet and electronic controller. The cutters are mounted in slots in the rotating chipper disc.

Wood materials are fed through the feed inlet, and when they reach the high-speed rotating chipper disc, the cutters cut the wood against the fixed anvil into uniform pieces.

Once cut, the qualified wood chips pass through the disc, and the integrated casting plates throw the chips out of the discharge chute. The casting wings also generate a generous high-speed air stream, helping to blow the finished chips out of the spout smoothly and efficiently.

Working Principle of Drum Wood Chipper

This heavy-duty drum-type wood chipper consists of a high-strength steel welded body, knife roller, upper and lower feeding rollers, conveyor system, hydraulic system and independent control cabinet. 2-5 flying knives are fixed on the rotating knife roller, matched with the fixed bottom knife on the machine base.

Wood materials are transported by the conveyor system and enter the feeding port; the hydraulic feeding pressure rollers grasp and force the wood into the cutting chamber.

Under the high-efficiency shear of the high-speed rotating flying knife and bottom knife, the wood is cut into regular wood chips. A screen is installed under the knife roll: qualified wood chips with the required size leak through the screen holes and are output, while unqualified larger chips are driven by the knife roller to be cut again until they meet the size standard. The upper feeding roller can float up and down automatically via the hydraulic system according to the thickness and diameter of the raw material.

Working Principle of Comprehensive Wood Chipper Machine

This multi-functional heavy-duty comprehensive chipper is equipped with a large-diameter rotor, replaceable cutting knives and crushing hammers, forced hydraulic feeding system, hydraulic openable crushing chamber and customizable screen mesh. Raw materials are continuously fed into the machine via the chain plate conveyor; under the forced feeding of the hydraulic system, the materials enter the cutting chamber stably.

The high-speed rotating rotor drives the cutting knives to complete the primary cutting of large raw materials, then the crushing hammers further process the materials into uniform chips. The customized screen mesh controls the final chip size: qualified chips are discharged through the screen via the discharge conveyor, while unqualified materials continue to be processed in the chamber. The crushing chamber cover can be opened hydraulically, which is extremely convenient for blade replacement and daily maintenance.

The wood chipper is the first and indispensable core primary processing equipment in the entire compressed sawdust pallet production line, and its upstream and downstream complete process is as follows (100% from official application content):
Wood Chipping: Raw wood logs, waste wood, branches and other raw materials are cut into uniform wood chips with standard length and thickness by the ELASN wood chipper machine, laying a solid foundation for subsequent processing.
Wood Crushing: The cut wood chips are further crushed into fine sawdust and shavings by a wood crushing machine, to meet the raw material requirements of pallet molding.
Raw Material Drying: The crushed wet raw materials are sent to a drum dryer machine to remove excess moisture and reach a fixed moisture content, ensuring the stability of the subsequent glue mixing effect.
Glue Mixing: The dried sawdust raw materials are transported to the sawdust glue mixer machine, where they are accurately metered and fully mixed with environmentally friendly glue, to ensure all wood fibers absorb a fixed proportion of glue.
High-Temperature High-Pressure Hot Press Molding: The mixed materials are sent into the mold of the presswood pallet molding machine, and molded into finished pallets of different sizes and specifications through high-temperature and high-pressure technology.
Finished Product Inspection & Packaging: The final compressed wood pallets are inspected, sorted and packaged for delivery.
